The Essential Program is intended for developers who would like access to publicly available materials such as escape codes, sample code and freely available documentation.
To utilize the codes provided in the essential support area, a developer must be proficient with the use of PJL (Printer Job Language) and PCL (Printer Control Language).
Additionally, a developer must understand the concepts involved in the creation, format and transmission of a print job from an application to a print device.
Essential program membership is free. Acceptance in the Essential Support Program is automatic upon registration.
